Getting closer to the market: Soendgen Keramik opens a new showroom to mark their anniversary year

Alongside a love for plants, SK has always cultivated partnerships with bricks-and-mortar retailers

125 years of Soendgen Keramik. The high-quality manufacturer from Adendorf is currently placing a great deal of emphasis on a forward-looking market orientation, not least to mark the anniversary of the founding of the company. While annual trend scouting, new consumer-oriented products and effective sales support are part of company tradition, bricks-and-mortar retailers now also benefit from the new SK showroom.

Lively interest at the presentation and celebrations in Grafschaft-Gelsdorf

The Grafschaft-Gelsdorf site has opened the doors to its showroom since July 13. Around 70 guests from the neighborhood, local politics and the press gathered for the opening, which began with the welcoming address: “Soendgen Keramik sets an example for a company which operates across different states and municipalities”, said Michael Schneider, deputy mayor of the municipality of Grafschaft. Representatives of the IHK also presented a certificate marking the 125th anniversary of the founding of the company.

Together with Björn Hansen, Managing Director and great-grandson of the company’s founder, the guests went on an exciting trip back in time through the history of Soendgen Keramik – from a small local craft business to the international concern it is today. Managing Director Ralf Schwinn emphasized some interesting details about the company and gave information about what was currently going on, whereby the focus was on the needs of the consumers as well as the interests and successes of the retail partners.

The showroom concept and location highlight

More than 600 square meters of floor space invite you in to experience the entire current indoor and outdoor range of SK. The products are lavishly presented on shelves and display variations at the PoS – in a variety of forms and colors. This meant that retail partners have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the entire Soendgen Keramik product range for the whole year outside of a trade fair, and, if they so wish, in a sales environment to help with their plans. What is particularly valuable here is the integration of an individually customizable creative center, where tailor-made, striking sales concepts are developed together with the customers.

Bistro areas and meeting areas create a relaxed working atmosphere. Regular presentations of trends and new products make the new showroom the ideal location for thinking up ideas and suggestions for business advantages. This means that bricks-and-mortar retail can be optimally supported in future. A good reason to round off the festivities together with employees and friends of SK, with some live music, an exquisite buffet and cool drinks.
