Social commitment as a matter of principle

Earthquakes, hurricanes, floods – spectacular disasters throughout the world all too easily divert our attention away from silent needs much closer to home. Many people were shaken up by the report, at the beginning of the year, that one child in five in our rich country is living at or below the poverty line. The children themselves, being the victims of the misfortunes of others, cannot do anything to change this situation and they are the ones needing help.

For this reason Soendgen Keramik has committed itself to working very actively and intensively on “Green for Kids” aid projects. The idea behind this initiative appealed to us. On the one hand it offers pragmatic aid in the form of breakfasts or hot meals. On the other hand it offers food for children’s thoughts by involving them with plant life and nature in green kindergardens or visits from a “Greenmobile” display vehicle. Simple contact with the beautiful things in our business sector is enough to present children with new perspectives and to stimulate their vitality positively.
